Abstract Tourism real estate is a new industry which comes into being after the combination of tourism industry and real estate industry. Tourism real estate has a flexible and various developing pattern, which is of bright development future in the tourism city of Xi'an. As one of the four ancient cities of the world, Xi'an is well known throughout the whole world and tourism is of important strategic value for the urban development of Xi'an. In this paper, the author integrates the latest development trend of Xi'an urban development, tourism and tourism real estate to analyze the interactive pattern of tourism real estate and urban development. Based on "urban tourism industry upgrade and tourism resources integration", "urban real estate expansion and urban land development", "urban cultural industry revitalization" and "urban culture renaissance", the paper also analyzes the urban development strategy and urban brand building, from the perspective of jointly promotion of industry and brand, so as to study the interactive pattern of tourism real estate and urban operating mechanism, including " led by the government, and taken urban management as the means", "driven by large projects, and taken theme creation as the core", "publicized by experience, and take continuous innovation as the engine", and "directed by culture, take cultural industry as consistent thread". In addition, the paper also explores the interactive pattern of tourism real estate and urban space evolvement, which aims at promoting new urban area development by cultural tourism real estate, speed up the renaissance of urban historical area by tourism commercial real estate, accelerate the ecological reconstruction of the city suburbs by gym and exhibition tourism real estate, boost the transformation of urban shantytowns by site tourism real estate, expedite the revitalization of urban old industrial bases by tourism creative real estate, and drive the development of urban surrounding recreational areas by leisure real estate.
